The Vigan City Fiesta is held every January 25. It is celebrated during the feast day of the conversion of St. Paul the Apostle. St. Paul is Vigan City’s patron saint. Before his conversion, St. Paul was known as Saul, a zealous persecutor of Christians. Participating in the Longganisa Festival street dancing competition has presented me with challenges and lessons on how to become a great dancer. We had to make many sacrifices and work very hard to win the contest, but we overcame the pressure and enjoyed ourselves. Thank God, we placed third overall; San Nicolas took first and University of Northern Philippines placed second. I am thrilled to be taking part and presenting our dancing skills to all bigueños .
